HCM011 Selenite Cystine Broth
Usage:
For selective isolation of shigella and salmonella from clinical specimens and foods.
Approximative Formula (Per Liter):
Xylose 3.5g
L-Lysine 5g
Lactose Monohydrate 7.5g
Sucrose 7.5g
Sodium Chloride 5g
Yeast Extract 3g
Phenol red 80mg
Agar 13.5g
Sodium Deoxycholate 2.5g
Sodium thiosulfate 6.8g
Ferric Ammonium Citrate 0.8g
Final pH 7.4±02
Directions:
Suspend 55.2g in 1Lof distilled or deionized water. Heat with frequent agitation and boil to completely dissolve the powder. Do not autoclave ,cool to 50°C and pour into sterile petri dishes.
Storage:
Keep container tightly closed, store in a dry place, away from bright light.
